About Intent Board

It's s a place to share intentions for co-creating our world. A world, where people like you manifest ideas and visions contributing to a better world. A world that is consciously created from a place of love and sharing. As a co-creator, you participate in determining all site content by discovering, selecting, sharing, and discussing related news that appeals to you and matches the mission of the Intent Board.

Newsworthy Intentions

Share news that comes from a place of love rather than fear. News that contributes to a greater sense of freedom in each person. News that's expansive and leads to a greater understanding of who we are as individuals, and how we can make a difference collectively. A few examples:
  • - A new product that saves energy
  • - A political speech that unites people
  • - A new approach to holistic healing
  • - A story about trust and faith
  • - A new focus on better education

How to get Started

Simply sign up for a free account by registering your username and email address. You will find the sign up box at the sidebar. After registering your account you can start submitting articles and voting on news stories.

How does it Work?

  1. Submit a Story
    Find an article and submit it to IntentBoard.com. Your submission will immediately appear in the Upcoming News section. Other members will find it in this section and vote on it if they wish. Once a submission has earned a critical mass (depending on the amount of stories, users and timeframe) of votes, it becomes Popular and jumps to the homepage in its category. If it becomes even more popular, it may qualify as one of the Top 10.

    If a submission doesn't receive enough votes within a certain time period, it eventually falls out of the Upcoming section. Visit the Upcoming section to discover recently added news. And you also subscribe to RSS feeds of particular topics and popular stories from the Upcoming sections. Click on the RSS logo to subscribe to a news feed.

  2. Vote on Stories you Like
    Participate in Intent Board's collaborative editorial process by voting on news and stories that you like best. To vote, simply click on the vote box next to a story (the number of votes immediately increases by one). As you vote, you contribute to the popularity of any given story. You also build a history of votes that you and your friends can view.

    If you find stories with bad links, off-topic content, or duplicate entries, click Bury. That's how we get unrelated stories out of the system and let the good stuff rise to the top. The system only works when users actively participate on a large scale, so make sure to do your part and vote and bury content that matters to you or bury content that doesn't make the grade!

  3. Share with your Friends
    Invite your friends to join the Intent Board. Send your friends the stories that catch your eye on Intent Board.

  4. Discuss all the Stories
    Share your opinions by commenting and voting on stories. Bury inappropriate stories and off-the-mark comments by other users. To make a comment, click on the Discuss icon at the end of every story.
